Are Those Crickets?

You want to know what my biggest fear is? Sitting at a table in a bookstore with a pen in my hand, a smile on my face, and....nothing else.

I'm not talking about one of those 'Oops, I forgot my clothes at home!' type of dreams. I'm talking about a debut author book signing where no one shows up.

Where all you hear is...crickets.  Want to know how to avoid that with your own book signing?

Hop on over to my second blog stop at Delia Latham's My Book Bag and read about 5 Easy Tips On How To Avoid the Sound of Crickets at Your Book Signing!

Well, ASSUMING I had my signing in my home town, I know I'd be able to attract a good crowd. If it was in some foreign city though? Yeah...that'd be scary. LOL.

I hear crickets are good eating.

Jessica - That would be cool to meet some blogging buddies.

Trisha - Yeah, the whole out of state thing is intimidating.

Rouge - You're too funny. Though...covered in chocolate is a maybe.

So far I've avoided crickets by not doing physical appearances!

Yipes that is a terrifying prospect. I hope you get crowds of people. :-)

Wish I could be there tomorrow. Read your first chapter a few weeks ago, and although this is not my genre, I can't wait to get a hold of PK. (Physical book. I don't do e-readers...yet.) Wishing you the best signing ever! I'll be reviewing your book on my blog--once I've consumed it.

I don't even want to think about a book signing. I'm afraid the silence would be worse than crickets even.

You're and awesome writer Raquel. You'll do fine :)
